The Park of Villa Aura del Lago
With its 10,000-square-meter park, Villa Aura del Lago hosts an extraordinary collection of more than 100 botanic species from all around the world, in constant enrichment.
Old beech trees, cypresses and cedars are mirrored in the water of the historic fountain and red fish swim in small basins, surrounded by geometrical flowerbeds. Black bamboos and palms preserve untouched the flavor of the early-1900s taste of Cesira Guido. Take your time to visit some of the wonderful points of interest of the park, such as the “footpath of the roses,” the “basin of the water lilies,” the “peninsula of the camellias” and the “rock garden.”
The park is also an open-air garden, with a small, romantic vineyard directly overlooking the lake, olive trees and fruit trees that offer a selection of genuine pears, pomegranates, jujubes, walnuts and hazelnuts.
To promote further the botanic culture, the family has started a process of documenting and labeling the entire collection. Guests will have the wonderful opportunity to immerse themselves in a unique botanic experience. Have a small taste here!
